Nonsense Machine IV A sculptural work about the absurd, where the functional becomes non-functional as a materialisaton of everyday sisyphean tasks. Nonsense Machine IV is a site specific work that reference ths industrial heritage of Sunny Bank Mills, the 1912 gallery space was the spinning department of the mill. The wheel sused in the sculpture were found on site and as objects that spin the metaphoically echo the pointless repetition of tasks like those undertaken by factory workers of the past
Shit Pipe Shit Pipe is a resin cast plumbling pipe taken from the back of an old told. The work is made from materials contradictory to the objets original function. Resin has been used, made transparent and brittle. The pipe is used as a metaphor for the information relayed to the public by media outlets.

Claw (Nonsense Machine V) Claw is part of a larger work in progress. It references the claw machine game found in amusement arcades and the absurd. The Claw will become part the Nonsense Macine series and demonstrate a paradoxical situation. Check back in the future to see the finished work!
